Each home warranty company is evaluated across five categories, each weighted equally:

• Coverage breadth and limits: What's covered, coverage caps per item, annual aggregate limits
• Value for money: Premium cost relative to coverage provided, service fee structure
• Claims process: Response time, ease of filing, contractor quality, claim approval rates
• Transparency: Contract clarity, exclusion communication, pricing disclosure
• Customer satisfaction: BBB ratings, verified customer reviews across multiple platforms
